Music Competition Rules

Common

• One entry per person, per category
• Playable in xmplay with no custom plugins
• Must be original, unreleased music (no remixes)
• Suggestion: Try to keep your songs down to radio friendly lengths (3-4 minutes) for judging purposes. We'll try to allow fair time for them to play, but we may be required to cut long songs off before they finish (probably around the four minute mark).

Streamed

• 10MB Max
• Suggested: 192k fixed bitwith or lame --alt-preset standard for ~200kbs VBR.

Tracked

• Anything your tracker will do is fair game, as long as it plays in xmplay without custom plugins
• Under 2MB

Fast Tracked

• Sample set to be chosen when the compo begins
• No sample editing outside of the tracker
• No effects processing, or VSTi plugins (not even IT filters)
• No added samples
• Mp3 okay
