Links

While no list of links can attempt to be complete on the demoscene, we
have selected a few with a short description.

  • Not in Print article on Pilgrimage 2003. Not in Print is a section of the Salt Lake City Tribune's web site that does not appear in their print edition. In 2003, a reporter from the tribune who prepares the Not in Print section created two great flash based articles on Pilgrimage. Check it out!

  • Boondocks is a web portal for the ASCII art scene.
  • Polygony, Utah's first demo group.
  • Blatte's Fractals, used with permission on the reverse side of the 2004 party badges.
  • Scene.org is a mind-bogglingly massive archive of demos. If you want to spend the next three years of your life sitting in front of your computer watching demos, this place will keep you busy. Scene.org also has a nice newsfeed, and is a good place to find all the newest demos as they're released. They've also been kind enough to host the domain name for our web-site.
  • XMission is an ISP in Utah. They're a primary sponsor of Pilgrimage.
  • Pouet is a demo database, with chatty forums, ranking systems, and general goofing around. A good way to get started in demos is to come here and download everything in their Top 10.
  • Orange Juice is the place where people who like demos go to meet each other and organize parties. Great for help-wanted ads, looking for parties to attend, or announcing your own Party.
  • Nectarine demoscene radio is a streaming MP3 demoscene music radio station, hosted by OJuice. People who make demos write a lot of music. This is an Internet radio feed with a huge variety of music. Some of it's cool, some of it's wild, some of it's cheesy, and some of it is just out there. If your ears are bored, give them a try. The deejaying is done democratically from the website, so vote in your favorite song. You can also browse the music library and download individual songs from the library. Read their FAQ to get free software that you can use to listen to Nectarine.
  • Scenespot, a web-site with ties to the North American scene, is hosting a Pilgrimage discussion forum. It's a good place for suggestions, news, and discussion.
  • 256b.com, a repository of 256 byte demos.
  • monostep.org, a reviewed collection of some of the better demos around.
  • Two Headed Squirrel, another reviewed collection of demos.
  • demosaver -- run demos as your screen saver!
